Jewelmint is a new jewelry subscription site by Kate Bosworth and her stylist Cher Coultier. Basically it works the same as any other subscription site...you complete a style quiz so they can determine what pieces to put in your showroom every month. Each piece is $29.99 including shipping and if you're a member of the Facebook page they often have sales and specials. Also if you love the element of surprise, they sometimes offer grab bags. For the usual price of $29.99 you get a mixed bag guaranteed to give you at least 2 mystery items along with some coupon codes or other goodies. As wih other sites, you have the option to skip a month or (if you're like me) to purchase multiple pieces in one month.

I've let my hectic life get the best of me and I'm back for real this time!  You know how you put something off till the next day and before you know it several days, weeks, and months have passed? Well, yea, ummm, that's kinda what happened. Thanks to everyone that sent me comments, emails and messages asking where the hell I've been lol.  There's been so many times I've put an outfit together or bought something awesome and said "Dammit I should really blog about this". So you'll probably see a good amount of posts with content from the past few months. And I can't lie, I kinda missed all the fashion and beauty related social events and swag..  #promisetodobetterin2012

 

So here's what's new with me. 

* Dyed my hair a shade of blonde

* Received an Amino Acid smoothing treatment to my natural hair which I will have to review

* Joined several other shoe, jewelry and beauty subscription sites besides Shoedazzle

* Working with several freelance marketing clients 

* Momentarily stopped working in a salon doing nails (but will be getting my license soon)

* Set up a tumblr for all my nail work

* Stretched my ears to 7/16

* Received several other piercings (in some discreet places) that Ill make a video about (but won't be showing!)

Off to the International Beauty Show

On my way to catch a bus to NYC in preparation for IBS tomorrow. For those of you that dont know its a tradeshow for beauty professionals. Hair, nails, and makeup demonstrations and samples. I"m going with the girls from my salon and will have a full recap in a few days.

The Latest Thing to Occupy My Time...Stretching My Ears

Im stretching my ears...just so I can wear beautiful jewelry like this. Not too large though..just to a 0 gauge. 0 is a size where I get to wear all the goodies that hang but can throw some gemmed or solid plugs in and have it look like a normal pierced hole. Heres my current ear configuration .Considering I have 5 holes in one year and 4 holes and an industrial in the other there's a lot of thought and planning that goes into it lol. 

 

The first hole is currently an 8g. The earrings Im wearing are my industrial S talons from Body Art Forms. I absolutely adore them!

The 2nd hole is at a 12g and the last two are at a 10g. My industrial is a 14g. My only gripe is I want to buy a ton of jewelry in each size. I only stay at each size for a month or two so as you can imagine, the costs can add up. I just bought all my jewelry for my 6g stretch next week and limited myself to 3 pairs. But once I get to my goal size #shoppingspree

Still too MIA for comfort...I know...I know...but I'm finally able to tell you guys about my latest project. I've opened a store selling my nail designs on full coverage nail tips. The store is http://fabuluxe.bigcartel.com. Right now I only have about 10 designs up but I've been up to my elbows in nail polish and rhinestones creating more designs. Prices range from $16 to $24 and include 20 nails a nail file for shaping and an orangewood stick for prep work. Let me know what you think .

Here's some photos of nails I've done while in and right after graduating my nail tech program. Before school I experimented with crazy nail designs and now that I have training in gel and acrylic under my belt the sky's the limit. First the natural nails......
